National Incident Management System (NIMS) & Incident Command System (ICS) Training
Staff members routinely assigned to incident response are required to obtain certificates in the following federally available NIMS and ICS training courses:
- IS-100.c –Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100
- IS-200.c –ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
- IS-700.b –An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
These courses are available through the FEMA Individual Study Program. Staff members are to email a copy of their certificates to emergencyprep@tulane.edu. The subject of the email should be FEMA IS Training Certificate. This is a free, one-time certification training.
