Request a Training

The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR) is able to provide All-Hazards Training (including hurricane preparedness), Active Shooter Training, and Continuity of Operations planning assistance to the Tulane community. If you have any questions regarding the following trainings, please email emergencyprep@tulane.edu.

  • To request an Active Shooter Preparedness Training for your school/department/organization, please fill out this form, or email Donald Veals (Emergency Manager) at donald@tulane.edu.  
  • To request Continuity of Operations (COOP) assistance or COOP plan development assistance for your school/department, please fill out this form, or email Meredith Beers (Continuity of Operations Manager) at meredith@tulane.edu.  
  • To request All-Hazards Emergency Preparedness Training for your school/department/organization, please fill out this form or email our office at emergencyprep@tulane.edu

 

The City of New Orleans also offers a variety of community trainings available in-person, including Stop the Bleed, Opioid Overdose Prevention, and Hands-Only CPR. To request a training from our city partners, fill out the online request form on the NOLA Ready website.

There are also Emergency Management Institute (EMI) trainings available online through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). If you are interested in emergency management, check out these courses on the FEMA website.
